This policy explains how Pawzlife handles personal information when you use the marketplace.
Information we collect
We collect account details such as name and email; profile and sitter-listing information, including an optional profile photo; pet details, care instructions, and optional pet photos; booking requests; messages; availability; support and dispute records; notification preferences; and technical records needed for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. Payment providers may collect financial and identity information when payment features are enabled.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, provide search and booking features, connect owners and sitters, deliver messages and notifications, operate support and safety processes, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain reliability, comply with law, and improve the service.
How information is shared
Relevant profile, pet, booking, and message information is shared with the other participant when needed to arrange care. Profile photos of active sitters can appear on public listings. Pet photos are shown to the sitter on a booking so they can see the animal before and during care. We also use service providers for hosting, authentication, databases, file storage, email delivery, mapping, monitoring, and—when enabled—payments. We do not sell personal information.
Public information
Active sitter listings and reviews are publicly visible. Do not place private contact, financial, health, or identity information in public listing fields. Booking messages and pet-care details are restricted to participants and authorized operations personnel.
Retention
We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably needed for safety, dispute handling, security, legal obligations, and service operation. Deletion requests remove or de-identify information unless retention is required or necessary to protect users and resolve outstanding obligations.
Your choices and rights
Account settings provide a portable data export and an account-deletion request. You may also manage available notification preferences. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections, database row-level security, rate limits, and operational safeguards. No system is completely secure, so users should protect their credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
Children
Pawzlife is not directed to children under 13, and account holders must be at least 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Policy updates
Material changes will be identified by a new version and effective date. We may request renewed consent when required.
